About 40% of Malawian soils are in poor health, and they continue to degrade annually through loss of topsoil, soil organic matter, and acidification. To restore Malawi’s soil health and improve agricultural productivity, the country’s Action Plan on Fertilizer and Soil Health should comprehensively be financed and implemented by all stakeholders
